Review — Tucker and Dale vs Evil 2010

Tucker and Dale vs Evil is hilariously clever and offers plenty of gory fun, making it one of my all time favourites. This is a movie that never takes itself too seriously, but also manages to impart its own wisdom. Judgement, misunderstandings, miscommunication, and…well, idiocy… are the true evils that poor Tucker and Dale must face in this hilarious horror-comedy.
Tucker and Dale are best friends. They’re decent, simple guys, and they’ve just achieved their dream of owning their very own “vacation home”. It’s old, it’s dirty, it’s dilapidated… and they couldn’t be happier. On their way to visit their new “fixer-upper” for the first time, they run into a group of college kids and Dale finds himself quite taken with one of the girls in the group. Unfortunately, their initial meeting doesn’t go very well, we’ll blame it on nerves…maybe the scythe.. I still don’t know why he was holding that… and the college kids quickly form a very negative opinion of Dale and Tucker, which only grows with every misunderstanding that is to follow. One thing leads to another…and another and another.. and suddenly everyone starts getting themselves killed! …making Tucker and Dale look extremely suspicious. Can they unravel themselves from a sea of confusion and stupidity? …and, can Dale get the girl? Well, I strongly suggest you give it a watch and find out, you won’t regret it. With heart, lots of laughs, and a variety of fun, bloody deaths, Tucker and Dale vs Evil teaches us to remember that first impressions are not always right, and that there’s always more to a person than meets the eye… also, never run with something sharp.. filled with great life lessons like that, this is definitely a movie that I would recommend to all! ;)
